BHP Music Night

Belton Center for the Arts was the setting for a free concert for two groups of student musicians at Belton Honea Path High School. The Saxophone Quartet, directed by Timothy Lawson, and The Barbershop Quartet, known as The BEARitones, directed by Melissa Henderson, performed in the BCA gallery on January 30, 2025.

BHP's Saxophone Quartet was selected to be a showcase group at the 2025 South Carolina Music Educators Conference in Columbia, SC the second weekend of February. The BEARitones will be performing a concert in Los Angeles, California in February when the BHP Chamber Singers and Lyric Choir both go on tour. These two groups had never had a stand-alone concert and the music directors of both groups, Timothy Lawson and Melissa Henderson, wanted to help prepare these young men for these two very important events.
