About Us
-
The mission of Belton Center for the Arts is to encourage and stimulate the education, practice, and appreciation of the arts. The Center will showcase all forms of art, and act as a community cultural center, creating an inviting atmosphere and further enhancing and uniting the Belton community.

The Belton Center for the Arts emerged from a group of community citizens in March of 1999. In 2000, a building was donated by a local community member and BCA had its first brick-and-mortar home. The community of Belton enthusiastically embraced the art center and soon outgrew the facility. In response, BCA launched a capital campaign in 2006 to purchase and renovate a new building.
Thanks to the support of the community, the Center moved to its current address in 2008, doubling the square footage to accommodate a larger and growing audience. The renovations continued while the Center operated normal business hours. The entire building was restored, and now houses two large galleries, a multi-use classroom, full kitchen, pottery room as well as office space. Since then, the space has been continually updated. New hardwood floors were installed in the main gallery 2019. In 2022, the kitchen received a makeover.
The Belton Center for the Arts has been an integral component of the community’s economic development and is responsible for numerous visitors to Belton. The renovation project has ensured that the Belton Center for the Arts will remain the treasured community resource and valued cultural organization that the community deserves.
