Juried Art Show
The Belton Center for the Arts is thrilled to announce the return of our highly anticipated Juried Art Show! This event, a part of the Standpipe Heritage & Arts Festival, is in its 26th year.
Closing Reception: November 2, 2024, 6:30PM - 8:30PM
Exhibit Dates: September 28 - November 2, 2024
Location: Belton Center for the Arts, Main Gallery
The Juried Art Show is a collection of artwork, carefully curated by a qualified juror. Each year, we receive an impressive array of submissions from regional artists. However, only 60-70 pieces can be included in the final exhibition. Our goal each year is to give $3,500 in awards, sponsored by local businesses and families. This year, we are pleased to announce we were able to give $5,900 in cash prizes. First, Second, and Third place awards, as well as seven merit awards were selected by our juror, Kevin Kao. A Member’s Choice Award was also chosen by vote by present members and sponsors at our Members Preview Event. Additionally, Purchase Award sponsors chose four pieces of artwork from the pool of submissions, which were also included in the exhibit.
Juried Art Show - Award Winners
The exhibition features an eclectic mix of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media, and more. With no limitations on the artistic medium, the show provides a platform for diverse forms of expression. Visitors can expect to see everything from abstract and contemporary pieces to more traditional works that capture the beauty of landscapes, portraits, and still life. The range of techniques, themes, and personal narratives embedded in each piece make the exhibition a rich and rewarding experience for all art enthusiasts. For the community, it’s an excellent way to support local and regional artists. Many of the artworks on display will be available for purchase, so visitors have the chance to take home a piece of original art while directly supporting the artists themselves.
To celebrate these talented artists, we are hosting a closing reception, open to the public on November 2, 2024 at 6:30 PM. Please invite your family and friends to join the celebration! We can’t wait to celebrate the incredible talent that makes our arts community so vibrant!
